Abstract Alice is a short film consisting of dance and storytelling. Written and performed by Andrea Parson, the work weaves together images of Alice and the White Rabbit, based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Images from the Carroll's story are abstracted and re-created through physical movement and voice in an effort to answer a question that propels Alice's adventures down the rabbit hole: Who am I? This film invites viewers to enter into the darkness of the Rabbit hole and activate their imaginations. The journey into the rabbit hole evokes reflection on the role of darkness, the void, and hollowness as portals for transformation and becoming.
